The practice was taken over in 2023, marking a change of guard at The Somerset Place Dental Practice for the first time in 25 years. The new owners were keen to maintain the high standards of care that the practice was known for but felt it could improve upon the services offered whilst modernising the delivery of care; adding new and innovative treatment options such as implant treatments and digital technology.
All of our staff possess a wealth of experience and have been helping our patients, with a smile on their face for many years. They are committed to serving the people of Glasgow and beyond and do so with professionalism and the warmest of welcomes.

Fraser graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2008 with commendation. He then went on to successfully complete his vocational training year in general practice, learning all aspects of both general and cosmetic dentistry, and in 2010 he passed the requisite examinations to become a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In 2015 he became the co-owner of a dental practice in Edinburgh which he ran for 6 years, before deciding to focus solely on clinical work once again.
Having spent many years within the fields of cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics, Fraser developed a love of endodontics (root canal surgery and the management of complex root injuries). He is currently undertaking further study which will lead to a Masters in Endodontics degree in early 2026. He uses a variety of highly specialised equipment in the practice to carry out high quality endodontic care, including his operating microscope which significantly enhances visibility deep within root canals, specialised ultrasonic canal cleaning protocols and a computerised anaesthesia delivery system to ensure his patients are always completely pain free and comfortable.
Fraser has previously held a position as a lecturer and opinion leading dentist for dental materials manufacturer Ivoclar Vivadent as well as being on the editorial board of Dentistry Scotland magazine, and a judge for the Dentistry Scotland Awards.
