Endodontic treatment, commonly known as root canal therapy, is a dental procedure designed to treat infection or damage inside the tooth. It involves the removal of the infected or inflamed pulp (the soft tissue inside the tooth), followed by cleaning, disinfecting, and sealing the root canals to prevent further infection. This procedure helps save a tooth that would otherwise require extraction.
